Sara A. Quinteros-Fernandez MS, RDN, CNSC, LDN
From tackling personal decisions to reaching important milestones, Sara's job is to guide you, your family and/or your business on the path of success. Sara is a proud alumni of the Pennsylvania State University where she obtained her bachelor of science in Hospitality Management. She also has a master's degree in Nutrition Science and Dietetics from Syracuse University and a Culinary Arts certificate from the Culinary Institute of America. Sara completed her residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center where she currently practices and specializes in pediatric and metabolic nutrition.
Sara has worked and collaborated with organizations across the nation including the St. Helena Chamber of Commerce, Ponsford's Place, Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute, Mariam Koshland Science Museum of the National Academy of Science, Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants and Children's National Medical Center. Her current work includes working as a pediatrics clinical and metabolic dietitian for the University of Maryland Medical Center, consulting for Foublie, a virtual nutrition clinic and the Americas Health Foundation. She is also a Partner and the Director of Business Development and Strategy for Shilling Canning Company, a family owned and chef-driven, local ingredient restaurant in Washington D.C's Navy Yard.
As a Licensed Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, Sara understands how to source the right ingredients and optimize nutrition without sacrificing flavor while supporting the local community . She is fueled by her commitment to excellence and goes the extra mile to make sure clients are fully satisfied with her work.
